On Saturday night, I worked, and when I got home Sunday morning we went off in search of some fun in the sun. The teenagers didn't want to come along, so it was just me, John, and Elayna.
Florida State Parks were having a free admission day, so first we went to O'Leno State Park, but their swimming area was closed due to low water levels, and they also were not renting canoes. So we walked around there first, took some pictures, and then left to find a spot to swim.
I love weekends like this.
It was simple but fun,
and I know the kids made some good, lasting memories.
That's what it's all about!
FYI for Florida residents/visitors: there are two more "no-fee" days at Florida State Parks this year, check it out at FloridaStateParks.org!

Looks like fun! But that bridge? Scary!
Looks like y'all had a good time this weekend.
Not sure I would have walked that bridge
Looks beautiful there. I can't believe how low the water is at the first park, though. Wow...knowing how close to the surface the water table is in FL, that's just scary to think it's that dry down there.
Silly teenagers missed a nice day.
You took some great pictures thank you for sharing those with us. Not sure I could have went across that bridge.

Beautiful! Sounds like you had a fun and busy weekend. :)
Oh my... that bridge, no way!!
I LOVE Florida State Parks. I probably visit one at least once a week. I even have a annual pass. Your photos are wonderful.
Perfect summer weekend. I love them.
