The Bama Belles Rock!

Now, y'all know that I'm Southern and love all things Southern. I also love Tough Country Women. So, when I saw the previews for the new TLC show, Bama Belles, I thought, 'now that looks like a show I could enjoy'! I'm not a fan of any of the Real Housewives shows; they just don't do it for me. But Bama Belles looked pretty good!

So, I tweeted that, on December 4th. In fact, I tweeted this:

dsfunctionalmomI'm looking forward to the new TLC show Bama Belles....it has potential....

Well, today, December 11th, I happened to check my @mentions on Twitter, and I saw this:

amiepollard@ ...You rock!! This Bama Belle says Thanks for the luv!!

That is Amie Pollard, the star of Bama Belles, the radio show host, herself! I totally flipped. I was SO MAD that I missed it when she tweeted it back on December 4th! But I immediately replied with:

dsfunctionalmom@amiepollard OMG, you tweeted me! I'm about to pass out!

Because I am all kinds of cool and smoooothe.
And she answered right back!

amiepollard@dsfunctionalmom I just think it's awesome that u luv Bama Belles!!

dsfunctionalmom@amiepollard I did love the show! I can't wait for the next one.

amiepollard@dsfunctionalmom tomorrow night at 9CT@ TLC!! Bama Belles tell your friends too! C u there!!

So clearly, we are BFFs now. I am now stalking following her on Twitter (of course),and her Facebook page as well as the Bama Belles Facebook page. And since she is my BFF, I wanted to tell you all that you should be watching her show and following her too, because she ROCKS! And so does Bama Belles.

Christmas Crack, Christmas Cheer, Christmas Charity.....we've got it all right here.

It has been ridiculously cold here this week. As in, dipping down into the TWENTIES at night. It should be illegal for it to ever get this cold in Florida. It's just wrong!
There has even been talk of snow flurries next week. I am appalled.
But I am very cozy in my warm house, with my fireplace crackling. I absolutely love it! I'll be just fine....as long as I don't have to leave my house.
Here are some pictures to warm you up:

Andrew made a Christmas list this week. Andrew is 11, and apparently our talk about how Christmas was going to be very simple and minimal this year went in one ear and out the other for him.

His list consisted of these three things:
1. iPod
2. iPhone
3. iPad

iLaughed! iDon't think so! iBetter get one first!

In case you missed it, yesterday I posted a giveaway....I am spreading some Santa Magic for those of you with kids who still believe, so check it out!

My friend Shannon at The Nuthouse is doing something wonderful again this year for Christmas. For each comment she gets on this post, she will donate one non-perishable item to her local food bank. I love this! Please go over and leave her a comment for a great cause.

I posted a recipe on Southern Loving this week for Saltine Cracker Candy, which one of my Facebook friends told me she calls "Christmas Crack". I have since decided that Christmas Crack is the perfect name for this candy and that's how it shall be known in our family from here on out! This stuff is addictive. You have been warned.

And I will close with Dysfunctional Mom's song of the week. I LOVE Miranda Lambert; she is beautiful, tough and a great singer. I love chicks like her! This song is one of my favorites of hers, I love it for so many reasons! Check it out! And as always, visit Mrs 4444's for more Friday Fragments.

My Christmas Cheer

This weekend we got our Christmas tree and finished decorating the house.
I have a few pictures to share with you on this Wordful Wednesday.

The red letters in front spell the word "HOPE".

These letters spell "JOY".

I love having a fireplace to decorate! =)

This is a very special ornament; it's the oldest one on the tree. It was given to me by my very best friend Danielle when I was 16 years old, so I've had it for 21 years! And it's been on my tree every one of those years.

{I noticed THREE things that drove me insane after I uploaded these pics to Facebook; my clock was crooked, the trees behind the word "HOPE" were uneven, and there weren't enough purple ball ornaments on the tree. These things have since been remedied, since I am ALL KINDS OF NEUROTIC OCD.}

Happy Wordful & Wordish Wednesday!
