The Princess and the Peepee

Sometimes, when I pick the Princess up from school, she has to pee. But she doesn't tell me this while we're still at the school. Oh no! That would be far too easy. She waits until we're stuck in traffic. It doesn't happen as much lately, but last year it was way too frequent, and accidents happened. It was frustrating! So, while trying to think of solutions, one thing we did was make up Pee-pee songs, to distract her. Whatever song popped into our heads, we'd change the words and make it a pee-pee song.

Like:
a-b-c-d-e-f-g, I have really got to pee.
q-r-s-t-u-v, it makes me want to climb a tree.

Hey, we're not songwriters or anything. We're just rolling with it.

So, that princess of mine is a huge fan of Taylor Swift, a young country artist. WAY better than Hannah Montana, so I encourage this. She knows all of her songs, but her favorite is called "Our Song", and she knows every word. Which is great. Except.........the other day on the way home, she had to pee. So, she's trying to take her mind off of it by singing a song. And she started singing "Our Song". Which starts like this:

"I was riding shotgun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car.
He had a one-hand feel on the steering wheel, the other on my hea-a-art!"

But The Princess's pee-pee version made us all jump out of our seats and yell.
She burst out with:

"I was riding shotgun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car.
He had a one-hand feel on the PEE-PEE........."

I don't know what the rest would've been because our reaction cut her off before she could finish. Poor thing, she was so embarassed! But we all got a good laugh out of it.
That princess! You never know what's going to come out of her mouth!
