My Bucket List

I saw this meme over at Cafe Kel. It looked like fun, so I decided to play along.

If any of you have seen (or heard of) the movie it's pretty self explanatory. I need to write out 8 things I want to do before I "kick the bucket."

My first thoughts are about raising great children & helping lots of animals, but this is truly about ME so I'm going to do a purely selfish Bucket List.

*ETA* I thought of a couple more things to add, and I decided I will make this a work in progress and add to it when I think of new things. Also, if I do manage to accomplish any of these, I'll be sure to let y'all know!*

  1. visit England (& I could name many other countries too but that's #1).
  2. buy an RV and travel the United States.
  3. have a HUGE family reunion with all of the family members that I don't get to see nearly as often as I'd like.
  4. own a vintage restored Mustang.
  5. make a difference in as many lives as possible.
  6. read every book I've ever wanted to read.
  7. go diving (I'm too afraid, but maybe if I were facing death anyway....).
  8. renew our vows on the beach.
  9. go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
  10. meet all of the amazing, wonderful friends I've made over the internet throughout the years.

I'm not tagging anyone, but feel free to grab this thought-provoking meme!

*Check out my post over here also!

I think it's ok to be totally selfish on this one! :) I'm totally scared to death of diving but a part of me wants to do it...then I think about being under all that water and I say NO WAY! But who knows, staring at death could make me change my mind.

Love the bucket list!!
Have a wonderful day...

BE AS SELFISH AS YOU WANT.

I want to take at least a month to travel and tour from the top of Italy to the bottom. Or maybe take 6 months to tour all of Europe. OOooooo. Yeah. That's much better. If I'm gonna dream, might as well dream bid, right?

I'm totally with you on number 4, although it might end up being a late-60s Corvette. Anything vintage and restored would make me happy.

Those are good ones! Fun idea for the post--I'll do it!

It is ok to be selfish. As Moms we never seem to get to be. I like your list. This is a great idea!

Number two would be a dream come true for me! I hope that I can do that someday.

first of all thanks for the comments on my post when i was feeling crummy. :) that helped me cheer up. i'm doing better now.

second... i love your list. it sounds like great plans... hopefully you can do these things w/o having to face death though. :)

i would love to camp all over the USA but i'm not sure this will happen. my family did go from NY to TX w/ a travel trailer the summer before my junior year in HS. It was great.

England seems just lovely. I'd like to go there too. :)

I just finished reading this great series and am desparate to find something else to gobble up... I forgot how much I truly love to read. :)

xoxoxo have a great day!!

I was really scared to get my diving certification but it's so awesome now! It's really not as scary as I thought it would be. I highly recommend it.

You're funny because you said you're going for a selfish list, but #3 and #5 are so not selfish. I think you should do #1 soon even if you don't die for another 100 years. My husband's family is from England, and there's not a countryside prettier than Brittain's.

#5--you are well on your way.

Very cool list . . .

That movie made me cry.

I'm in a weird place in my life because I can't think of a single thing I'd put on my list, and I'm not so sure that's a good thing.

I don't think I could ever make it through all the books on my list in 100 lifetimes! Other than that, great list!

I like your list!!! its hard when you have to sit down and list everything you want to do before you die though isnt it?

My bucket list items:

1. Dig for diamonds at the Diamond mine park in Arkansas (ok, I'm a ditzy blonde...but I've always wanted to do that!)

2. Go to Italy and ride in a real Gondola (of course wearing my floatation device...I'm terrified of water!)

I'd like to renew my vows on the beach, too! How groovy.
