The Not-So-Good: I've been in a bit of a funk this week. When I mentioned it on Facebook, many of my friends said they felt the same way. I don't know what it is, I'm just "meh".
I'm hoping the weekend will make it all better!
I still need to finish uploading all the vacation pics. I just don't seem to have time for anything this week!
The Good: I did get this uploaded - the pic of me and Kristin, from The Goat!
John and I met Kristin at The Brick in Jacksonville, Florida. We were a little late. Like, an hour. We got lost, and ended up in the ghetto, but that's another story for another blog post.
{It was mildly terrifying. I'm still twitching a little.}
But Kristin waited patiently for us. We had a great lunch and talked non-stop!
I absolutely love meeting blog friends. I hope to meet up with Kristin again....if I ever work up the courage to visit Jacksonville again, that is! LOL
The Not-So-Good: My retirement plan has went down the toilet. John and I always said we'd get an RV and travel after we retire. After visiting Jacksonville and dealing with that traffic, I don't see any more TRAVEL in our future! (kidding) (sort of)
The Good: We had a great week with the kids this past week. We had an especially awesome time with the girls in St Augustine last weekend after the softball tournaments ended.
The Not-So-Good: They go to their Dad's this week and will be gone an extra weekend. It will be fun for them; they're going to their step-mom's family reunion. But I will be a bored lonely mom once again!
The Good: We're going to my friend's daughter's 1st Birthday party this weekend!
The Not-So-Good: I have been looking at my kids' baby books this past week and I want them to be one year old again! =)
The Good: My dear sweet husband gave me a new nickname last week.
The Not-So-Good: The new nickname is "Her Royal Meanness"!!! (but the funny thing is, I LOVE IT!! Muah ha ha hahaaa!)
OK, I know there's more I want to say, but my brain is calling it quits. It's done; it's over it.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! For more fragging, visit Mrs 4444's!

I would be in a funk if I just got back from an awesome vacay! Right now I am in vacay mode...next Thursday baby! I can't WAIT! Come on, share in my excitement! =)
I'll share in yours, that you got to meet Kristin...I'm jealous actually!
At least in an RV when you get tired of the traffic, just leave John to drive and go and take a nap!
Try to enjoy your week of quiet!
Can't wait to hear about the weekend!
making the rounds of Mrs. 4444's FF meme.
Don't know how serious you are on the RV but I heard that you should rent one first and do a trial run. My sister and her family rented one and took it from WI - CA and back. I think it got it out of their system.
My plan is to just live with the kids a few months at a time I'm sure they'll like that.
Meeting blog friends is so cool!
I went to St. Augustine on a school trip in 7th grade. It was a lot of fun.
Have a great time at the party, friend!!
Oh so jealous! I would love to meet Kristin in person. She is such a great soul.
Happy FF!
My husband's cousin and her husband did the RV thing for years. They traveled everywhere and loved it. I think they sold it and bought a house again after three years. I could never do it.
I say, if you have to be mean you might as well be royal about it!
Yeah you got to meet a blogging friend. How fun. I love meeting bloggers too.
Love the new nickname too. I think I own the rights to that one as well. LOL
I've met a couple blog friends IRL, it IS fun!
St Augustine looks awesome. I wish our softball tournaments were held somewhere nice!!
Good Day, your Royal Meanness!! (LOL!)
Loved seeing you meeting with your blogging friend. Sorry you had such a bad traffic experience! Would love to hear the whole tale sometime.
Thanks for your letters. One arrived yesterday and the other today. I loved hearing from you. I sent something your way on Wednesday so watch out fot that.
Have a great weekend.

Maybe focus more on the good than the not-so-good? Easier said than done, right??
I miss when my kids were one, too! They're so stinkin cute at that age!
Other than at BlogHer (which feels like a lifetime ago), I've not met any bloggers IRL. I would LOVE to meet sweet Kristin but will have to settle for hilarious CAUTION, who will be in Wisconsin next month. I'm so excited!!
Glad you've got plans to keep you busy while the kids are away.
You're way too young to be thinking about retirement, young lady...
Uh, RETIREMENT? You look way, wayyyyy too young to be thinking about that. Just sayin'.
Oh, I wish I could meet blogger pals in real life again. I actually met Mrs.4444 at Blogher last year, amongst so many others. What a blast. So wish I could do that again.
Glad you had a good visit with Kristin!
Happy FF!
Hey, that's a picture of me!! It was so much fun meeting you and your husband. What good sports you were after a such a long drive without decent directions. I'm so very grateful that you made it there!
Next time you come to this side of the state, I'll meet you in St. Augustine since you know that area very well :)
Kristin - The Goat
I hear you on the "funk". I am so totally there.
I would LOVE to retire and travel, although I will say, we had a great vacation traveling with limited traffic ;)
Try driving in Miami! I visited my sister a few months back & had to drive while I was there... uhhhh NIGHTMARE! Ok so your hubby I'm guess is wanting you to stop doing his laundry, cooking, cleaning. I kid, it actually is kind of funny. My husband has taught our 2 1/2 year old to say "Take it easy Mama" when I start yelling at the girls for something. Nice huh!
I'm so glad that you get to see Kristin IRL. I sure do love her blog and pictures. My Aunt was a real spoiled woman, never had children and always had to have her way. My husband will often call me Blanche!!
How awesome you got to meet Kristen! I was born in Jacksonville; I heard there are some really bad areas there now. I love St.Augustine and visit there every time I visit my parents who now live in Daytona Beach.
I remember how sad I was to send my kids off to spend 2 weeks with their father every summer..I should have had some fun but all I did was work lots of overtime and clean..I wish there was blogging back then!
