Weekend Wrap Up 11.16.09

It's that time again....time to wrap up my weekend.
It was a busy but mostly uneventful weekend.
Saturday morning Elayna had a softball double-header. They won both games and had a blast.
Saturday afternoon, we watched the Gators play a messy, ugly game, but they won, and that's all that matters to me.
We went to the library and then John and I fed the kids dinner early. Then we all watched Herbie Goes Bananas. After the movie, we put the kids to bed, lit candles and had a nice romantic dinner to ourselves. It was nice and we decided we should do that more often! It had been forever since we'd done that.
Sunday was a lovely, cloudless day filled with church, shopping, outside play, laundry, bathing dogs, kids visiting friends, kids' sports practices, and then more church. Instead of a church service on Sunday nights, we have 'grow groups', which are small groups that meet in the home of a couple who attend the church. We really enjoy that small group time. The little kids have their own group, and the bigger kids go to Youth Group. We're gearing up for our Fall Festival also, which is next Sunday.

So, yeah. Nothing but excitement going on around here! I love weekends like this though....laid back, easy going, family time.
Of course that laid-back feeling will end soon, since the busy week is starting. Wheeee!

I've decided to add a fun Question of the Day to my Weekend WrapUp posts. Today's question is:

If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life (not including water), which one would you choose?
I tend to get addicted obsessed with a specific drink and stick with it. For years it was Diet Pepsi. A few months ago, I was obsessed with sweet tea. But now, I have a new one.
It's Diet Dr Pepper.

LOVE it and would happily drink it for the rest of my life (or until the next obsession comes along!).
Play along, answer the QOTD in the comments or join in on your own blog!

Coffee. OR is it chocolate caramel creamer I drink? It's about half and half really so call it what you want, but that's what I'd go with. Coffmer or maybe Cremffee, that's what we can call it!

Oh, Diet Coke. Without a doubt!

Need you ask? DIET FREAKIN' COKE!!!

Btw...saw the monkey woman on Oprah. Good lord. Can NOT believe that a monkey did that to a human.

On a related note...met the nephew of the monkey OWNER last year. He was DEVESTATED that the monkey TRAVIS had to be killed. Didn't seem all that upset about the woman who lost her face and hands. Nope, he was teary over the monkey.

Mine would be iced tea, I can't live without that stuff!

The romantic dinner sounds like a great idea, it's been awhile since hubby and I have done that!

I'm glad your messy, ugly game turned out well. Our messy, ugly game stayed messy and ugly.

My drink of choice would have to be chai tea... decaf of course.

What a sweet little dinner!

Right now my addiction is Diet Cherry Dr Pepper...have you tried it? Divine!!

Ok. Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper is hard to find but sooo yummmmy!
While I love myself a Grey Goose Dirty Martini up with extra olives, my go-to Jack and Diet Coke or a nice fresh brewed iced tea with mint from the garden in summer, the one drink I could NOT live without is Evian. It's always in the fridge, I'm a douche for spending as much money as I do on it (but it's the only water that 'doesn't taste like anything' to me) and how perfect is it? That it's NAIVE spelled backwards!

Water, mos' def'. As it is, I drink at least 2 litres a day. Elixer of the Gods, I say!

Diet Pepsi, but if I could only drink ONE thing, I'd have to go regular pepsi!!

Sounds like you had a great weekend!

I was a chocolate milk drinker. Only due to diabetes have I quit, but if I could handle it, I'd drink it for ever! LOL

Me! I'm obsessed with Pepsi. Have been for years. Wish I could get addicted to WATER!
