Have you ever received the aforementioned cat from his very teary-eyed girlfriend 30 minutes later? The cat she's had since she was a little girl? The cat she's had for 9 years? And promised to take good care of it, as she choked back tears?
Have you ever received a phone call from your teenage daughter's school, informing you that she had just passed out at her desk, fallen on the floor, and hit her head? And that she seemed fine now, did you want to come get her or should we just send her back to class?
Have you ever made it to that high school in record time?
Have you ever, on that same day, received a phone call from the lawyer representing you in yet another child's custody/visitation dispute? A phone call that made you wonder if said lawyer has listened to a word you've said since you hired him? Oh and this was TWO DAYS before your court hearing?
Oh. I have.

You are wonderful for taking in the poor cat! And may the so called father get his share of karma for even THINKING about shooting the poor thing

A cat! Oh, I don't think I could take in a cat...even if said girlfriend was over the top amazing. I am just not a cat person. Kids, yes. Cats........
I hope your daughter is okay. I would totally be at that school. What was that nurse thinking...she hit her head!! Hello!
I thought you all had met your animal quota in your new place?! But I would have totally taken the cat, too. Praying for your family.

We got a similar call about a puppy when our daughter was still in high school. Now we have an 80lb Lab and she's away at college. Good thing we love her... the dog AND the daughter.
I hope your daughter is okay. That had to be an awful call to get.
I'm highly allergic to cats, so I'd have to pass on that one! Sure hope and pray your daughter is OK...that must have scared you half to death! Sure hope today proves to be a smoother one for you!
That is a lot of Have You Ever's in One day!
Bless you!
Good grief. Why don't you live close by so that I can give you a hug? I mean honestly, how unfair is it that you can have such a wild and wooly week and I can't help you out?
Hang in there. HUGS!
Oh no. That's some day I'm guessing you don't want to re-live!
Oh Lawd Mama! Go pour yourself and glass of wine!
I've never gotten a call like any of those, but my mom did get a call to come get her pregnant daughter from the school at which she was teaching because her blood pressure has spiked and her son-in-law worked to far away. She came in muttering something about thinking her days of picking up sick children at school were long over :)
Good grief- you need a break!
I would have made it to the school in record time too! I'm so glad she was ok! MAN, too much all at once for you.
