I love rainy days
Today was a rainy day, for the most part.
I didn't even notice that it was raining when I woke up, so I stumbled out to let the dogs out. I opened the door and the goofier dogs ran right out, while the others looked at me like I was crazy for thinking they were going to go out there and get wet. As if!
I was a little groggy due to a night full of bizarre dreams. So a rainy day was just perfect for the vegging I needed to do.
The kiddos weren't thrilled about it initially, since they couldn't go outside. But they warmed up to it. The Princess brought out her Vet Care table and played with that all day. The Ladybug mostly watched TV. A lazy, relaxing day.
And it was raining on Sunday, too. Does anybody know that song, Raining on Sunday by Keith Urban? "Pray that it's raining on Sunday, storming like crazy, and we'll hide under the covers all afternoon....." Well, that's kinda what we did. The kids weren't here. It was quite enjoyable. (wink, wink)
Dysfunctional Dad and I both LOVE storms. We love to cuddle up on the couch together, cover up and listen to the thunder and watch the lightning. He loves to watch the Weather Channel too, which I totally don't get, but that's ok.
Storms on the ocean are the best. We love it when we go to St Augustine and catch a good storm. And once we were in Cedar Key and watched an amazing storm, from the relative safety of a restaurant that was right on the water.
Waterspouts over the ocean are interesting to watch, too.
I'm trying to get the girls to respect storms but not fear them. We are in Florida so lightning is a very real danger here. But there's usually not any major damage from our typical summer storms. So I want the girls to learn to just get cozy inside and enjoy the show.
So, how about you? Rainy days and storms....love them or hate them?

I did a post on this a little while ago. I just LOVE thunderstorms. They just seem so romantic to me. Don't get me wrong, I love hot, sunny weather, but it is nice to have a rainy day or two in there to break things up a bit.
Great post!
I'm definitely a rainy day/storm kind of person (which is good because of the weather we've been having).
Thanks for stopping by - I don't mind the 'blog stalking' (hehe) I love to see new faces. Stop back by any time!
Have a great day!!

i love the rain as well. i also love the weather channel. i could watch the local on the 8's over and over again. its an addiction.
Love them, especially if I am by myself! They are great for taking naps, and great for cleaning house too, just crank up the music and turn on all the lights!!
We flood a lot here in TExas, so I often feel anxious when it rains a lot, but I still love the rain!
Take care - Kellan
LOVE THEM! Love the thunder, the lightening, the smell, the sound...everything. My dream is to have a house with a porch so when it rains I can sit on the porch and enjoy it.
I LOVE thunderstorms. Especially when it's rolling thunder. It's one of the things I miss the most about living in Florida :)
Oh, Luna, I SO miss the balcony we had when we lived in our townhouse. We loved sitting out there during storms, or sleeping with the glass door open.
I'm a huge thunderstorm fan!!! I love the conflict of nature . . . the wind, the rain, the glorious light show!!!
I love storms. Nothing better than building a fire a curling up with a good book while listening to the rain. Love it!
I used to like rainy weather back when I was working too. For some reason I would get so much more done at work. I think it made me feel better about being at work, knowing that no one was out there having some fun adventure in the sun.
Loathe. I loathe thunder/lightening storms. I am like a two year old when it comes to storms. Truth be told, my three year old is not phased by the storms, while here I am curled up in a fetal position.
