Frag This, Baby!

Mommy's Idea

This week has been good and bad. I mean, all weeks have their ups and downs I suppose, but there were some bigger highs and lows this particular week. At least I get to unload here!

>> The kids' standardized testing is over - hallelujah! And they all feel like they did well.

>> I am so stinking ready for our vacation! As indicated by the countdown widget on my sidebar. Heh.

And now it's time for....Facebook Faves!

Our temps have been wonderfully warm this week, and I have been loving it! It's even hit the 70's a few days. However, on the day I posted this, the high was in the 60's and it was already cooling off...

Cyndy N*** E*** Andrew asked if he could play in the sprinkler! lol
Its not quite that warm yet buddy!

I bought Elayna a toy yesterday, and shortly after getting it home she lost a piece of it. She was totally crushed. She was sure someone had intentionally taken it. She found it a few minutes later, but in the meantime...

Cyndy N*** E*** Elayna is so emo. She was watching herself cry in the mirror! Sheesh.

>> I'm participating in ShortMama's Spring Swap! I love swaps, how about you? I love me some ShortMama too. She cracks me up!

>> Don't forget about my food blog, Southern Loving! It's not just recipes; anything related to food gets blogged there, like my kids recently trying Star Fruit for the first time. There's also a great smoothie recipe & a delicious pasta salad recipe just waiting for you over there! I set up an RSS feed so you can subscribe if you want...I'm just saying....

On a very sad note, my husband's friend passed away. He had been here in the hospital where I work for some time, but John was unable to visit him without family permission. Late Wednesday night John and I were standing in the lobby talking, and someone called John's name. It was his friend's brother. They hugged and talked. He told him that they had taken him off of life support on Wednesday and were just waiting to see what would happen. We visited him that night. We held his hand and prayed. A few hours later, he passed away. I am so thankful that we happened to see his brother, so that John could visit with him before he passed. I am convinced that it was no coincidence. As hard as this is for John, it would've been even harder if he hadn't been able to see him that one time and say his goodbyes. He was only 30 years old. It's a sad reminder never to take life for granted; be thankful for every day!

Alright, friends. I'm fragged out. I hope you all have a Fabulous Friday & a Wonderful Weekend!
xoxo

P.S. Don't forget to visit Half Past Kissin' Time for more Friday Fragments!

I'm sorry about your husband's friend. No one is ever old enough to die, but 30? That's terrible.

She watched herself cry?? I get that!

So sorry about your husband's friend - it seems like it was divine intervention that he happened to be there when he was!

Too funny about Elayna losing a piece of a new toy shortly after getting home...then watching herself cry in the mirror. Sounds just like something Princess Nagger would do! ;)

"...she was watching herself cry in the mirror" Hysterical!!

What a blessing that your husband could visit his friend before he passed. Wow, 30. That's young.

Hmmm, that spring swap sounds interesting. I still have a few days to think on that. Thanks!
