I got a new pillar candle a couple of weeks ago and it's sitting in a pretty decorative candle holder on top of the big screen TV. Picture something like the photo below, only black iron, and prettier, with a sage green candle on top.
When we need to plug in the Wii or the DVD Player, we have to pull the TV out, switch around the plugs, and push it back in.
All weekend, J has been doing this and every time, my new pillar candle would fall down. And every time, I would fuss at him that he was going to mess up my new candle and for goodness sake, just take it down BEFORE it falls!
So today, I needed to plug the Wii in for Spiderman. I pushed the TV out, plugged the Wii in, and went to push the TV back. So you're thinking I did the same thing J's been doing all weekend, right? Oh no. I did him one better. See, I had a tart burning in my tart burner. Completely melted, a pool of hot wax. And that big pillar candle fell right on top of it.
Wax on the TV, wax on the Wii, wax on my clothes, my hair, MY FACE.
It was absolutely brilliant.
So...did you do something stupid today? Tell me it's not just me that does this stuff....

No, you're not alone. I usually do something on a daily basis - but since it's early, I haven't yet...give me time! :) I did however manage to spill hot melted candle wax all over my bathroom floor and rug the other day when I knocked the one over as I was getting out of the tub - talk about duh!

Oh no! I had a wax incident when I was single and living alone. I was in a rush and quickly blew out my big pillar candle (a little too forcefully) and wax went ALL OVER THE WALL. Not good.
And my post for today tells you about how I walked into a wall and got a big egg on my head. Nice.
well, i could list all the stupid things i did today, but it would take too long. i could start with taking brooke to starbucks with her bedhead hair and not noticing for like 10 minutes. i suck. but u r funny.

I do stupid things all the time... in fact, I barely notice them anymore! The only thing I can think of now is I spazzed out and forgot to renew my license plate registrations.. a month ago! SO the other day I had the kids in the car, on our way to art class, and I got pulled over... AND I had forgotten my wallet! Why? Because my driver's license had snapped in half, and I'd been attempting to fix it with Modge Podge the night before! (Didn't work, by the way...) So I got pulled over with an expired license plate, no driver's license, no insurance card, NOTHING! I was having visions of having to call someone to bail me out of jail and bust the kids out of foster care! Luckily, the cop was nice, and just gave me a ticket for driving with no proof of insurance. And all the way home, Little Bear sing-songed, "You gotta go to court! You gotta go to court!"

i have been in the candle dog house for years. i spilled hot candle wax on the front if my hubby's speakers.. (so not cool)
YIKES! I am glad you didn't seriously hurt yourself or burn the house down. HOLY COW!
Oh, honey... some days, if it weren't for stupid things, I don't think I'd do any things at all.

Don't worry--I do stupis things ALL the time! Does it make you feel any better that I threw away the 100 dollar bill my son got for his birthday? Luckily, I remembered before the garbageman came--but I had to root through the trash in the cold!
Oh I do things too often to tell when it's bad or good. But are you alright? Hot wax on the face doesn't sound good...unless you meant to pull some hair off...just sayin.
My kids call it "Being blond" but now that I'm a redhead I call it "artificial intelligence" when I perform my daily dose of "stupid."
Like falling through the revolving door today with my rolly briefcase and my rolly suitcase, one in front 1 behind. yeah. stupid.
LOL! No I do stupid stuff all the time. Sometimes I think I get clutzier the older I get. I feel so uncoordinated these days.
I have so many to choose from, it's ridiculous. Wax is such a pain too. That sucks.
Not yet... unless you count trying to post something over and over and realizing it had one of those things where you have to put the indistinguishable numbers in that little blank. LOL!

I usually stumble over my own feet or run into walls and that's just after I get up out of bed in the mornings. Things mostly go down hill from there. LOL I guess that's under the clumsy category, but it's stupid that I do it everyday.
Well, not today, so far, but that is definitely something I would do!
