Time After Time

It's Wednesday, and time for another installment of WWTK!
This week they want to know what we do with our time.

1. If you had an extra hour to do ANYTHING for yourself each day, what would you do?

Most definitely, an hour phone call with my BFF. We rarely get to talk on the phone, although we text daily, but a solid, uninterrupted hour of conversation with her? Priceless.

2. Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I am a total night owl. I always have been. And it's funny that this question is asked today, because for the first time in over five years, I will be going to work at 7am. I worked nights for over 4 years at the hospital, and for the past year have worked nights and/or late mornings. I am slightly freaking out about having to get up at the butt crack of dawn in the morning!
*ETA* I didn't sleep last night. Like, at all. This should be interesting!

3. How much sleep do you get on an average night?

This is hard to answer because, as I stated above, I'm a night owl and I sleep weird hours. But my best guess is 6-8 hours per night/day. I LOVE sleep. I just don't like doing it at night. Which is going to be tricky now. lol

4. When do you find time to blog/surf the ol' interweb?

Rarely, these days! I usually get time online after the kids go to bed. It's nice and quiet and peaceful!

5. What is the ONE thing you're never too busy for?

I'm never too busy for Facebook. One, because I can check in quickly. Also because I can do that on the run; my phone is not a Smart Phone, but it can access Facebook. So I am on there a lot throughout the day.

Good answer to #1. I need to do that more often too.

Switching schedules to work a new job is hard but will be worth it in the long run. My son is in the same boat right now. He went from working nights at a restaurant to having to be at work at 5 AM. He usually didn't even go to bed till after 5. 4 AM was rough on him this morning.

Good luck on the new job!

I love sleep, too...wish I could do more of it! Hope your day at work goes well...I know it will take some getting used to.

I have worked night shift for the last 7 years and all total in this 16 year career I have done about 11 of it at night.
A couple weeks ago I did 12 hour day shift and it's a completely different thing. It felt so strange to be getting up so early and going to bed at a normal time!

I'm also a big fan of sleep - if I could get 10 hours every night I'd be in HEAVEN!! Hope your day is going well :)

I agree, great answer to number one. I don't get to talk with my close friends much either. It's easier to email, especially because several of them have kids and they aren't on the same schedule as mine.

That's pretty cool that your phone can do that!

I'm not on fb much any more though. I get irritated. Maybe I'm just cranky. ;)

I'd definitely try to sleep more, because obviously (posting this before 6 am) I am a morning person...technically by default, because I'm not happy to be awake right now when I don't technically have to be up for another half hour

I would also love a long phone date with my BFF. But I can't ever talk on the phone without screaming in the background. Grrr. Kids. :)
