Simple Pleasures Sunday

The Big Things are great. Weddings, vacations, holidays.

But the simple, day to day pleasures can be absolutely wonderful.

My Simple Pleasures....

...... a flower, picked by one of my children, and proudly presented to me.
...... candles burning and filling my home with their lovely aroma.

...... sleeping while it's raining outside. Or even better - storming.

...... one of my cats purring on my lap.
...... my sweet old dog Suzie sleeping curled beside me.
...... a hot, hot shower.

...... tending to my flowers and watching them grow.

...... sitting outside in the evening with John and the kids, sipping sweet tea, and waving at the neighbors as they pass by.

What are your Simple Pleasures?

I'm way fond of sleep.

It's like some naughty word now. Way pleasurable.

I love listening to my boys laugh.
Or run around in bare feet on the hard wood floors..

Wonderful list.. Hope you're having a great weekend!

Love your list! Simple pleasures -- no housework or tasks facing me so that I can sleep in without any guilt, read, sit outside, write, rest my mind. We are way over-the-top over-committed as humans.

Beautiful post Cyndy. I love your simple pleasures. Sleeping while it rains/storms is the best. My simple pleasures are having the Kool Aid yard this summer, Nicky and Jessie getting along well and seeing my graphics floating around the internet.

Oh how I love this post... these are the important things in life.. not the designer jeans and the makeup and the expensive purses...

My simple pleasures?
Sleeping in
Hearing my daughters get along
A REALLY cold glass of milk
Sitting and looking at pictures
Spending time with Mr. B
and a million more...

Sleep ~ definitely a simple pleasure to appreciate...

Beading ~ helps me to relax and I love to create...

Hearing Greg's laughter ~ because it makes me smile too...

Quiet ~ just sitting in a room with no TV or radio on, just nice, relaxing silence...

Pretty much the same as all of that with the following additions:

~The smell of my new baby
~Watching my daughter hold him so proudly
~Seeing my 1st son be so helpful
~Sunday afternoon private time with my hubs (which has not happened for 4+ wks now due to baby/surgery - soon again)
