I Survived.

I survived the graduation of my first born child. I actually held up pretty well; I only choked up twice: when all of the graduates, in cap & gown, came walking out, and then when MY graduate walked out.

I got caught up in all of the excitement and only took a few pictures.

Same thing at the party the next day - I took ONE picture, and that was a picture of the cake.
(it was really yummy!)
We had a cookout, chips and veggies and watermelon. Summer stuff!

It was a lot of fun. Good food and good times with good friends & family....who could ask for more?

Today was the last day of school for the younger kiddos. So, it's officially summer break, and I am so glad!

Hope y'all are having a good week; graduation pics to come tomorrow!

I'm pretty sure that when mine graduate...I'll be a big ball of snot, crying fat salty tears and my eyes will be red and puffy.

I'm glad you had such an awesome weekend... I can't imagine holding it together at all when Duncan is old enough to graduate (heck, I can't imagine holding it together when he gets to kindergarten in 5 years! :)

Good for you! I'm glad you enjoyed the graduation and made it okay. I'm afraid I'll be a basket case when my oldest graduates. It will be here sooner than I'm ready.

Have a wonderful week!

All 3 of mine are through high school, one graduated with his Bachelors from my alma mater in 2008 and is working on his Master's. True confession...I have the graduation song Pomp and Circumstance on my iPod and I cry every time I hear it. Such a moving song. I was furious when they didn't play it at my college graduation.

Mine just graduated 8th. Nine years at that school and now it's all gone. I know just how you feel!

When the party is yours, it's hard to be the photographer, too! Congrats once again and have a wonderful summer. We'll have to meet up at Waldo's Flea Market this summer.
