Confession.

Elves on the Shelves FREAK ME OUT.

Their beady little eyes are seriously creepy.  Their smiles are NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
And honestly, the whole concept of it does not appeal to me.

A little tattletale jerk watching your every move?
And to top it off.....you make messes ON PURPOSE and then have to clean them up yourself???
People.  Who has time for that crap?

Totally agree with The Bloggess on this one.

When I first saw one on TV I near jumped out of my skin. It reminds me of something from a horror movie! I am not a fan of Elf on the Shelf.

I have no idea why anyone would want one of those things but I have a couple of people who got them for their kids and they post daily pictures.

They. Freak. Me. Out.

I'll pass...

My parents always had this Elf (though it is pretty big) and we used to get SO EXCITED every year when he was dragged out. I think my dad was the most excited. However, my folks never said that he was "watching us" or anything like that. That seriously would have given me nightmares. And wait, they make messes? Seriously? WHY????

Alfie (the Elf) is sitting in my living room right now. And I REFUSE to tell my kids he is watching them. WTH?

i hate the elf too.i hate the concept of it and i hate the idea of having ONE MORE thing to do everyday, in terms of hiding the elf/thinking of something creative for him to do.
