They Want to Know.....

Photobucket

I decided to join in with Mamarazzi & Queso this Wednesday and answer some fun questions! Check it out.

{1} Did you live in the same town or move around a lot as a child?
I not only lived in the same town but the same house until I turned 18, and my parents still live there.

{2} What were your parents like?
That's a loaded question. Strict....very black & white, no shades of gray. "My way or the highway" types.

{3} Do you have any siblings? What were they like growing up?
I have a brother who is 1o years older than me and a sister who is 7 years older. They were practically angels, and did not break the parents in for me AT ALL! I still tease them about that to this day.

{4} Share a short story from your childhood.
When I was little, I had imaginary friends. One main friend, and she had a sister and a brother, but the brother died (I guess I was kind of morbid). My family loves to tell the story of a time when my sister had friends over, and they decided to walk down to the lake. Our mom forced my sister to let me tag along, and to hold my hand. To make it even worse, I insisted that my sister leave a space between herself and me....for my imaginary friend.
Bonus-my brother loved to torture me and he would step on my imaginary friends' imaginary house. I think I need therapy.....

{5} What did you look like? (share a childhood pic for a chance to win a prize)
Um, CUTE, of course!

This was taken in my backyard. I'm on the left, and that's my mom's best friend's daughter on the right.

Ahhh I love it when you get to grow up in the same town or better yet the same house all throughout childhood. The house we live in my husband bought from his parents after he got out of college, it is the next block over from where I grew up. Ahhh I love small towns!

Your siblings are quite a bit older then you. So were you a "we didn't know our family was complete till we found out we were pregnant" suprise? LOL
My older sister always fought with my mom, ran away for 2 weeks, & was pregnant her senior year in high school. I was the "responsible one" HA! They sooo had no clue I was a party girl my freshman & sophmore year!

I never had an imaginary friend. I always had siblings to play with though so maybe that is why???

Awwwweeee you are SOOOO cute as a kid! :)

I love the imaginary friend story! My second son had one too. How important they are to a child.

Yes, you were cute.

Popped in to say hi! My sister had an invisible friend and we had to leave spaces at the table, in the car...

I hate to laugh at your brother stepping on the imaginary friend's house but that's sort of amusing. I can also see how it would scar you!

My parents were strict too, but I think if I ever get the chance to parent, I'll be like that - at least, a little. I think we all turned out pretty well because of it!

I have a perfect sister and perfect brother - I always tell my parents there was no way I could turn out normal with all that perfection around me! haha!!

So cute. It's an older siblings job to tourment the younger. I know I've got two and I lovedit!

OMG, the whole imaginary friend story cracked me up! I love the fact that you insisted that your sister leave some space between the two of you on your walk for your imaginary friend!!!

I'm so envious that you got to grow up in the same house until you were 18! I always wished I had stayed in one place.

Cute picture!!!!

I didn't have an imaginary friend, but I did have a bear that I told all of my secrets too. I'm sorry for your imaginary friend's loss.

I think it would be awesome to live in the same house. I don't think I ever had an imaginary friend, but what else are siblings good for? Other than to tease and taunt their siblings...:)

Work..I rearranged my work schedule to be home with the kiddos too. I knew as soon as I was faced with parenthood that I didn't wanna be an absent mom.
So I work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, cramming a 40 hour work week into those days and live a content life although hectic at times with the kids.
Thanks for dropping by my blog

We had two houses in the same town so I lived there until I married. My parents were lovely, I still have my dad, he is my best friend.
I was the baby of 3 children.

Those were great questions and you were adorable! (still are)
