Remembering CJ

I don't want to own this shirt.

I don't want to look at it.

I don't want it to exist.

Because the reason that it exists, causes so much pain for my dear friend.

Hallie from Wonderful World of Wieners lost her son CJ in April. Her family courageously participated in an Out of the Darkness walk this past weekend, and those of us who could not attend were offered the opportunity - no, the honor - of buying and wearing a Team CJ shirt.

My heart aches for her every day. I admire her strength so very much. I wish there were something, anything, I could do to ease her pain even a small amount.

But all I can do is wear my shirt, and remember CJ.

I'm so sorry for your friend. That's so hard. I wear a t-shirt for a distant relative. He's 6 and was diagnosed with Leukemia this past April. His outlook is very good!

Wow! I can't even imagine. Things like this just take your words away and leave you feeling so sad. Prayers for your friend, her family and her CJ.

it does suck that the shirt has to exist in the first place. but i think its great that youre wearing it. and maybe when you wear it you can think about the great person her son was, and not how his life ended.

I am sorry you have to wear that shirt as well. I read Hallie's post today and commented as well, and was shocked!

My heart, prayers and thoughts go out to her and you as well.

Cherish your shirt, cherish your memory and share....so that he may live on!
