Post-Christmas Fragments

It's....Saturday?! And yes, that means it's time to do Friday Fragments. Are we confused? Nope, Mrs 4444s just gave us a Christmas Break!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, or whatever Holiday you celebrate!

~*~ We are SO playing the lottery! Last Friday when I fragged, I told you about the great prizes I'd recently won. Well, since then, I've won TWO more awesome prizes, and John won a ham from work! I won Pajamas & Coffee from none other than Pajamas & Coffee herself! I got first prize for my remix of Santa Baby. Then I also won a wonderful wine basket from Stacy's Random Thoughts. I don't know how I got so lucky! Maybe it's some GOOD Karma coming my way? Hmmmm......

~*~ My niece got engaged for Christmas! My girls have already chosen their roles in the wedding. Little do they know it won't be for over a year. Ha ha!

~*~ One of the gifts we got our kids for Christmas was a movie pack. We put a DVD, a plastic popcorn bucket, and a bag of microwave popcorn in a gift bag for each kid. John chose Andrew's DVD - Team America. We had no idea what it was about and didn't look at the rating on the back.
Have you seen Team America? Let's just say this was a HUGE parenting FAIL! Fortunately the teenage son noticed the rating so we previewed it last night after the kids went to bed.
Funny movie. VERY adult movie! Andrew will be getting a DIFFERENT DVD very soon!

~*~ Christmas Dinner was yummy!
Even Christmas Eve at the in-laws was good. Their Brit foods are usually a little...um...off-putting? (have you ever had parsnips? *gag*) But this year was yummy.
My Christmas Dinner turned out great.

~*~ The holiday was very relaxing and mellow, which is absolutely the best if you ask me. I napped a lot! And that's one of my favorite activities.

~*~ The kids are now gone for a week. It will be nice to get as much sleep as I want and need, and mostly uninterrupted sleep! But I will miss them a lot.

I can't wait to read your post-Christmas posts!

ha ha ha Parenting Fail indeed!

we let the boy watch it with us but we had to make him promise never to repeat the words from the movie. fortunately, hes a good kid about that sort of thing.

Your kids are gone for a week? That's my kind of Christmas present.

I think divorce (and resulting separations) must be at least a LITTLE easier with the advent of texting, SKYPE, etc. I'm sure you miss them when they're gone, but that sleeping in part has to be nice, too!

Congrats on your winning streak! May it continue!

Good thing your son was responsible, haha...

Enjoy the holiday break :)

I also managed a nap - two hours on Christmas Day :) It was quite possible, the most indulgent and wonderful gift I received from Colin.

I'm happy to read about your peaceful times <3

I'm glad you all had a great Christmas, despite the movie faux pas. It will make for a funny holiday story for years to come.
