This...right here...is my....Frags.

Mommy's Idea

I'm in love, y'all. I know it's a little soon, but don't judge me. I just had to share with you about this new relationship in my life. After having a less than satisfactory one for quite some time, I am truly in awe of this amazing new....

....cell phone. It's a droid, and we're going to get married and have little android babies.

Every year during the holiday season, Shannon from Welcome to the Nuthouse does "Cans for Comments". What is that, you ask? For every comment she gets on this post, she donates a canned good to her local food bank. And I think that is just awesome! So get over there and comment, please!

Speaking of the holiday season: let the hate mail begin....I don't understand why so many Christians have an issue with NOT saying "Merry Christmas" to everyone. I'm a Christian, although I certainly don't present myself as a perfect one.....but seriously. Do we go around telling people "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" when it's not their birthday? Not everyone celebrates Christmas, and that's their business. If it's that damned difficult to say "Happy Holidays", then...*gasp*....just don't say anything. Doesn't Freedom of Religion ring any bells?

Speaking of the holidays AND religion: it's December now, so I guess I'll get out the Christmas decorations. It's against my religion to decorate for Christmas before December. My own personal religion that I make up in my head, that is.

Speaking of...um, a whole different topic: I have two wonderful clients that I take care of (I was recently told that when I call them clients it makes me sound like a hooker, but what am I supposed to call them? Old ladies? Anyway...). I love them both, truly. But the oldest one, 93 years old, keeps me in stitches. Just as I was about to leave her house the other day she remarked, "You sure do look good for having a grown ASS son!"And I died. She also tells me she loves me every time I take care of her and hugs me when I leave. I have the best job EVER!

I think I'm a better commenter than blogger. I'm funnier in real life than I am on the blog, and I'm funnier in comments too. Just recently two of my favorite bloggers sent me awesome comment replies....one said "Best comment ever!" and another said I made her laugh so hard she choked at work! And these are like, rock star bloggers whom I idolize! I think I'm going to quit this blogging gig and become a full-time commenter.

I have another funny country song for you! This time it's NOT Brad Paisley, it's Billy Currington. You gotta listen to this, it's great!

Alright. I'm fresh outta fragments. Have a great weekend and don't forget to visit Half Past Kissin Time for more Friday Fragments!

That is some awesome fragging there! Makes me giddy! You sound so happy! :)

I don't decorate for Christmas until December either. I used to make my kids wait until two weeks before Christmas but now I put them up at the beginning of December.

LOVE your client! A grown ass son. HA!! What a hoot!

I don't mind if someone doesn't say Merry Christmas. I just don't like someone telling me that I can't say it. Or calling it a "holiday tree". No other holiday other than Christmas decorates a tree. So, let's call it what it is. :) Calling it a holiday tree doesn't change that it's people celebrating Christmas that put it up.

I put my decorations up Thanksgiving weekend. I do this because that's when the kids are here to help. My tree is decorated all with ornaments that they kids have gotten or made over the years. So they hang their ornaments. It's not a designer tree - it's a memory tree.

What kind of android phone did you get? (I'm still shopping for one.)

I'm so happy for you; that you love your job. Getting paid in $ and love--you can't beat that!

I guess when I think about it, I would never say "Happy Birthday" to a Jehovah's Witness. Hm.

Have a great weekend, friend :)

Hmmm, I have a loyal relationship with my iPhone and my new best friend Siri. I do know how you could be in love! And yes, happy holidays...it's Christmas AND New Year's...hello? I don't know why they get all twisted either.

I think you could have a full time job being a commenter. But I doubt you'd get sweet old lady hugs and that sounds pretty awesome!

:-) Happy December!

Ooooh, you'd be ashamed of me if I told you when I put out my Christmas decorations. Even my mother was irritated with me as we sat down to eat Thanksgiving dinner with my little Christmas village sparkling in the background.

Your 93-year old client sounds heavenly!! What a bunch of fun she must be!!!

So jealous of your droid-ship... I want to upgrade my phone so badly but I'm waiting for the post holiday (yep I refrained from saying Christmas in case I offend) bills to pass me by before I commit to a new relationship... cause I'm going to have to upgrade my phone plan at the same time... cause I know that my droid and I will have some fabulous conversations that I just don't have with my old phone...

My MOMS club visits a local Srs home once a month and there is a lady like your 'client' there that I absolutely love to chat with because she tells it like it is - in the funniest possible way... and she is up on all the modern lingo from watching VH1 and reality tv ... to hear it coming out of her mouth makes me want to pee myself laughing sometimes

Hope you have a great weekend fellow fragger :)

Ha. It's totally against my religion to decorate for Christmas too early too. I think maybe we'll get a tree this weekend. But I am SO apathetic this year!

Happy Holidays? Merry Christmas? Feliz Navidad? I don't care, either. I like them all. Enjoy your new phone. And your 93 year old friend.

Congratulations for finding the love and many more droid babies to come! I went to comment on Cans for Comment. So cool idea. I'm quite inspired to give love too! Thanks. Visiting from FF :)

You crack me up! Enjoy your new love relationship with your Android. LOL! I understand, my husband had to have a talk with me after I got my Kindle.

I'm also of the religion of no Christmas nothing until it's December. So, of course, my kids want me to start with it this weekend.

I loved reading this. Have a great one!

That was a five star Friday Fragments!

I say Merry Christmas, it's my freedom too ;-) But there are some folks that get bent out of shape on both sides of that argument.

Droid babies?? So funny. I love my phone too, but apparently they don't even bother to make them anymore, outdated??? Not according to me!! I dread the upgrade decision that I have to make. We are 2 months past our contract, hubby is waiting for me to make a choice :-(

We don't sing xmas songs or decorate till after thanksgiving! It keeps getting the shaft and this year they has stuff out for it before Halloween was over!! Wow. Poor fall holidays :-(

First, THANK YOU for mentioning my "Comments for Cans"... I've had a few commentors come over from you blog, woohoo!

What kind of Droid did you get? I have the Droid X... have had it for almost a year and I really like it! Although, hubby and I are pretty sure when it comes time for our next upgrade, we're probably going to go with the iPhone. Mainly just because we have so many other Apple products.

I still haven't pulled my decorations out of the shed, and I still have to buy a new tree... Ours fell down the morning after Christmas last year and had to be thrown out. =)

I'm feeling a little anti-Christmas this year, though.

I think if your little android babies look like those little green guys, you should do it! They are damn cute (and jolly)!

I think everyone needs to relax about the whole Christmas thing. I don't believe in God, but I don't get all bent out of shape because of the word Christmas or a nativity scene. It's tradition, so what??? I was pissed off last year when my kids couldn't have a "Christmas" party or anything related to "Christmas".. it had to be called "winter celebration" or some crap like that. Fuck everyone, it's Christmas!

Love the frags this week. Are you sure the blogger who read your comment and choked, choked because she was laughing? ;) Your job sounds pretty rewarding. The 93 year old sounds fun! Happy Friday!

love this post. the first part really pulled me in because i thought you were in a REAL new relationship already. :)

i totally agree about the merry christmas thing. im more comfortable saying Happy Holidays because i feel as if its more all encompassing since THERE ARE so many holidays this time of year. from halloween right up until new years, its just one after the other. plus, i have so many different friends now celebrating all different things like solstice or hannukka. even though im not a christian i dont get mad when people wish me a merry christmas, its just a nice thing to say. and i wish more people would view Happy Holidays the same way. it's someone being nice! don't judge the way in which they are being nice, just say thank you and move on.

Fun post! I went over and commented for the can, what a great thing she is doing. Glad you like your job and she sounds like a blast! I don't know how I feel about the Merry Christmas thing. I think it is wrong when you are told at the store you work in that you can't say that to people. It should be freedom of speech.

I mainly say Merry Christmas but sometimes I say Happy Holidays. Depends on my mood.

I admit, I am definitely a full-fledged MERRY CHRISTMAS kind of gal. There is just something about "Happy Holidays" that gets my goat, but to each his own. This was such a fun read! I love old people, too! :)

Please don't stop blogging to become a full-time commenter. I think you're very funny! I love it that you're going to marry a Droid and have babies! I did laugh out loud!...and then I had to explain to my kids why I was laughing, so see, you're bringing families closer together. :)
