Arnold Chiari Malformation Awareness

The dates of this recognition vary by state, but generally September 15 - October 15 is Arnold Chiari Malformation Awareness Month.
In honor of this, I wanted to share my son's Chiari Story again, for those who weren't around the first time or for any internet searchers out there.

Tim's Chiari Story

This link takes you to the first of five posts, and you can follow the links from there to each post.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks so much for posting this! I've never heard of Chiari, nor had I read about Tim's struggles. Being a mother is a terrifying thing; it's a wonder we are not completely crippled by fear and anxiety with what we have to face, battle through, and conquer. Congratulations on putting one foot in front of the other and dealing with "life" every day. You are a courageous momma...not that you have a choice. :) We just have to be.

I am so sorry that you had to live through those trying times but I am so happy that it has turned out so well. I can only imagine the fears that you had to face and I admire your strength. I am thankful that God has provided your son with life and pray that he continues to show no further signs of this disease. Keeping you and your son in my prayers. Thank you for sharing Chiari Malformation Awareness with me.

I have read your Chiari stories before... but I should go read them again... it is not an easy world! =) as you know we think our son might have a rare case of it... combined with another genetic disorder called EDS. ????? *sigh* I hate that medical world we were in... especially since we can't find a diagnosis for our little man... I escaped it for a while... one day I need to bravely open the door again... but break has been nice! I finally posted our story this summer... did you see it? I can send you the link! and this comment really could have been an email! mostly saying... my heart is with you on this one girly!
