Sometimes

Sometimes I go through rough spots. Everyone does. Some rougher than others. It's only natural to complain. To wonder why. Sometimes I gripe and moan and wonder why me?
And then.....sigh.
And then.

I read about this.

Or this.

And this.

And I know that I am blessed, and need to shut my mouth and give thanks for what I have, and prayers for all of those in need. For there are so very many out there who are suffering, struggling, grieving, barely surviving.

And then I'm back again to wondering, why?

I am stopping over from SITS Sharefest Saturday. Your sentiments are so true. It has been a sad time here in blogland. I am familiar with these stories and it is heartbreaking. I will remember to be more grateful and keep these others in my thoughts and prayers.

It seems like the more I blog the heavier my heart becomes. I pray at my computer more each day and I am thankful for what I have. Why must there be so much pain in this world. I once heard someone say that this is hell, living here on earth is hell and eternity is our reward. The older I get the more I believe that.

Not sure why we have such a hard time holding on to the good but are able (or so it seems) to focus on the bad with clarity?

Sometimes all it takes is a little perspective, right?
Still, everyone needs to whine and complain sometimes, so don't beat yourself up about it. ;)

Sometimes it all just seems so unfair and pointless, doesn't it? Thank you for some much-needed perspective today.

So much sadness! It's impossible not to wonder why sometimes.

So true - we are so much more blessed than we even realize and certainly have no reason to gripe and complain at all - especially after reading these stories. P.S. There is an award waiting for you over at my blog today. Big hugs!

While it's nice to vent and get it out, it's even better to know that you're blessed.

Hope you're enjoying your sunday!

Thank you for sharing with me the perspective I needed tonight.

its a fine line to walk in our own lives when we get frustrated and need to vent.. because there are always people who are so much in worse situations than our own... however, at the same time, our own little world can be difficult enough for us and we need a safe place to vent. thats why i like blogging, or partly why, anyways. dont invalidate your own feelings, continue to be appreciative and keep on praying for others who are going through sad times. i looked at the stories you posted about and they are indeed heartbreakers. i too do not understand why shit like that has to happen. and yes it makes me stop and look at how blessed i am... and thankful it's not me... even if that sounds selfish, i mean it with a ton of empathy.

hugs,
